Macros - Cheaper Light Table - Thumbnails

To show that it's not necessary to have a large flash (as was shown on the original light table page), I set up this one. The flash is an old Canon Speedlite 177A. These have sold on ebay for as little as $10. The slave trigger is an $8 piece from eBay. The light table is essentially the same except I've added a white reflector. It will work without the reflector. You should try it both ways to see what produces the best results. Again, sheets of paper were used to reduce the flash output so the lower flash wasn't too bright. Most of these were taken with the can diffuser. It's more easily adjusted so it's easier to use for the variety of objects shown.
